[Derailed has] a ludicrous script whose twists and turns are laughably obvious or just plain laughable.. Derailed is just entertaining enough if you approach it with appropriately low expectations.. There's no dismissing the film, if only because it offers another long, loud example of how Hollywood remains the hagiographic spinmeister of American war history.. . . Yet another in the seemingly endless line of stupid, generic thrillers that Hollywood foists upon the movie-going public.. Derailed"...
